The Chion-in Temple Bell

Cast in 1633, the 74-ton Chion-in Temple Bell, located in Kyoto, Japan.

I visited this temple on New Year's Eve, 2010. The bell is rung 108 by 17 monks.

This staircase was used as a set in the 2003 Tom Cruise film The Last Samuri.
