Tessellated Reflections

I used this photograph of Yokohama (taken 2010) Japan, to make a tessellated wall piece.  The reflections on the building of the surrounding buildings created interesting patterns which inspired me to print this image on reflective foil paper, creating another layer of reflection in the finished piece. 

I began by making a practice piece to work out the appropriate measurements and scale, so that the photo was engineered to fit within the folds.

 I paired the photograph of my final piece with another photograph I took of the "Gherkin" which also provided interested reflections of surrounding buildings.
